Travelling up North

Travelling up North

Piteå, North of Sweden

Last week I was in Piteå, in the North of Sweden to perform the dance/theatre piece “Loki” made by Pascal Marty and myself (see CHOREOGRAPHY for more info on that). This was the first time being so far up north. I managed to find some free time during the day and set off with my Leica M10 with a 35mm and 75mm. I had no particular place I wanted to shoot so I just wondered around and let my instinct guide me.

Although Piteå has a sub arctic climate, the weather was very pleasant when I was there (mid Sep). Temperatures in the winter drop to -25 though. I was hoping to see some Northern Lights at night but unfortunately didn’t see any. I guess I will have to go back!
